Red and Blue each took to shouting and arguing with each other.
Each thought their lot was best, and yet, each had their doubts.
So, the obvious course of action was to pester the other sister.
Green, of course, stayed out of all this fighting, finding it boring.

Black could not understand why his daughters were not satisfied at all.
Each share of the world was of equal size, with equal power.
But with difference comes competition, and the belief that one is better.
So, some degree of equality had to be present for them both.

White was also disappointed with this development, though she had different reasons.
She found beauty and pleasure in all things, and delighted in difference.
She thought the world wonderful both above and below, neither one lesser.
Her daughters felt differently, so she and Black resorted to another plan.
