Chapter One, Verse Twenty-Seven

For the purpose of her work, Blue went to her father, Black.
She wished to conceive and bear a child, and so required power.
“For I was made when you shared your power with my mother.”
“You are my father, surely you can do the same for me.”

This would be most unusual for a human man and his daughter.
But these are gods, and Black saw no reason he couldn’t help.
Black embraced his daughter to give her power, which she took in.
Changing her body to foster life, Blue set a seed inside herself.

The seed developed into a child, mixing Grandfather Black and Mother Blue.
The calm and cold in Blue settled and solidified in strange ways.
It was given form by Black’s influence, knowing and certain and masculine.
And so Blue gave birth to a son, a dark new color.
